Enrolment Process

The Graduate Certificate Courses are delivered by ARA Institute of Canterbury. You must register for the courses, and make payment for the course directly with ARA. Please note when registering for the first time it is quite a detailed application process.

available to both Registered and Enrolled and Nurses who have a current New Zealand practising certificate issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Some courses may not be open to enrolled nurses and/or require students to be currently employed in the specialty. (which may include working on the mobile surgical unit)

Step 1: Register with ARA

The Graduate Certificate Courses are delivered by ARA Institute of Canterbury, so you need to register for the courses, and make payment for the course directly with ARA.

Please note when registering for the first time it is quite a detailed application process. When registering for future courses the process is streamlined.

Step 2: Apply to Mobile Health

Mobile Health will sponsorer a limited number of rural nurses to complete the following courses. You must apply to Mobile Health prior to undertaking the study as our funding is limited. Please note you will need to enrol with ARA and initially pay the course fee. Once you pass the course you will need to provide your payment receipt, your pass certificate and your bank account details and we will reimburse your course fee.

  • Funding is not available from your employer
  • You work on the mobile surgical unit / recovery
