Carol Stiles from Radio New Zealand RNZ Country Life programme recently spent a day with the surgical bus team when it was operating in Taihape. Congratulations also to the team from Taihape Health Limited who recently passed the milestone of 1000 operations in their town.
Carol spoke to patients, the rural nurses, the surgeon, our clinical nurse leader Wendy Lorentz, our steerologist Jim Wilson, and chief executive Mark Eager while visiting. She got an inside look at everyones roles, the procedures we do on board, as well as the benefits the bus has on the rural communities.
