In June, we had another successful year running the Hauora Taiwhenua and Wellbeing Hub at Fieldays in Hamilton. We had the highest number of exhibitors – 47 in total, up from 31 the previous year. It is refreshing to attract new health organisations year after year who are keen to be involved in the hub, and want to make a life changing impact on individuals by offering free check ups, tests, referrals, advice, as well as access to specialists and confidential mental health support.

Our exhibitors track their engagement with visitors, and as an example over the four days, Melanoma NZ provided free spot checks to 577 people at their site, and found 103 suspicious lesions, including 21 suspected melanomas. We had between 20,000 and 25,000 people visit the health hub, with 106,000 visitors through the Fieldays gate across the four days.

Thank you to all of you who put in the hard yards in organising your stand for this huge event.

We would also like to thank Phoebe Rose Coffee Roasters based in Hamilton who served more than 1,000 coffees to our exhibitors during the four-day event. If you would like to support this small business who has made the “Fieldays Special” blend a permanent part of their range under the “Hauora” name.
